Marie-Christine Mallet-Gazeau welcomes you to her holiday home, a spacious house typical of this Saintonge region with its stone walls and exposed beams. The house which is totally independent, has been tastefully renovated and more than comfortably sleeps 18.

Access to the house is by private drive to your parking area. Crossing the patio, you arrive at the front door ( with its welcoming chimes),

opening into a hallway which leads to the 4 main bedrooms, bathroom and w.c. .
Nestled into a recess in the thick wall is a shoe cupboard with a mirror above. Each bedroom is charmingly decorated, inspired by local themes : “the vineyard”, “the meadow”, “the orchard” and “the ocean”.

Going down a few steps, you arrive in the main living area where 12 people can enjoy a meal around the large farmhouse-style table. (additional tables and chairs are available on request, should you want to invite a dozen or more friends !)

The corner bar, cosily situated below the mezzanine, invites you to taste locally produced refreshments, some of which are provided by your hostess. In the opposite corner, a large corner sofa offers relaxation with a book, radio or television.

Off this living area are the well-equipped kitchen and utility room, the kitchen opens out onto the south-facing patio, where you can enjoy the sunshine from spring through to autumn. Cross the patio and you have your own garden with hornbeam hedge, a fig tree, lawn and clothes line. There is a fenced area for young children with an activity frame.
Beyond the garden are the orchards and countryside with paths for walking and cycling.
